AGI is not our goal
Building a safe and beneficial AI for the MENA region is our mission.
Read our visionWe conduct fundamental research, offer consultancy, and build creative AI technologies and solutions for the Arabic language and its people
Practice Areas
Scientific Research
We conduct empirical research on various aspects of AI and we strive to publish our work in top-tier conferences and journals.
Tools and Products
AI is changing how we work and do business. Through leveraging cutting-edge technologies, we build advanced tools and products that add value to people’s lives.
Consulting Services
Our community has a wide range of AI expertise and our developers are very talented and eager to share their knowledge and skills to help build solutions customized for your organization needs
AI Ethics and Responsibility
AI systems can have positive impact on our lives but also can have risks. In building our AI systems, we comply with the seven AI Ethics Principles proposed by SDAIA. We aslo do research on algorithmic bias and risk.

Domain Adaptation for Arabic Machine Translation: The Case of Financial Texts
Neural machine translation (NMT) has shown impressive performance when trained on large-scale corpora. However, generic NMT systems have demonstrated poor performance on out-of-domain translation. To mitigate this issue, several domain adaptation methods have recently been proposed which often lead to better translation quality than genetic NMT systems.
KEEP READINGSARD: A Human-AI Collaborative Story Generation
Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) has ushered in a new era for storytellers, providing a powerful tool to ignite creativity and explore uncharted narrative territories. As technology continues to advance, the synergy between human creativity and AI-generated content holds the potential to redefine the landscape of storytelling. In this work, we propose SARD, a drag-and-drop visual interface for generating a multi-chapter story using large language models.

The swift progress and widespread acceptance of artificial intelligence (AI) systems highlight a pressing requirement to comprehend both the capabilities and potential risks associated with AI. Given the linguistic complexity, cultural richness, and underrepresented status of Arabic in AI research, there is a pressing need to focus on Large Language Models (LLMs) performance and safety for Arabic related tasks.
